You’ve built your company and you have started to grow to the point where your DIY-style marketing just isn’t effective anymore. So, what do you do? Do you keep trying to do it yourself or do you spend some money to put together you dream marketing team to grow your company bigger, faster? If you have the money, bring in the experts. Here are our tips on How to Build Your Marketing “A” Team.

  1. Define Your Culture

Every company has a culture, whether it is the laidback, young start-up or the suit and tie corporation, there's a certain culture. Look at the culture your company has or the culture you want your company to create and then hire people who fit into that culture and style.

  1. Choose Your Leader

Choose your leader wisely. Find someone with experience in various settings who can spearhead any project and lead a team. This person will be the one to take the blame for marketing strategies that don't quite go viral, so make sure they can handle the pressure.

  1. Content Specialist

Find yourself a wordsmith - someone who can write a blog in their sleep and write content for and eBook like it's nothing.  This person can write in any style that you ask for or that your clients request. They are like a chameleon with words, transforming to any style.

  1. Social Media Genius

Social media is hugely important in marketing. You need to be able to effectively advertise your brilliant content on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Google+. This is where the social media genius comes in. They know every hashtag, every trending article, and every image posted by industry leaders.

  1. The Designer

Make your brilliant content look appealing. Your webpage is a representation of yourself. Find a designer who can bring your company’s culture to life visually in a webpage and make your content standout.

  1. The Techy

The last thing you want is a webpage to go down and not know how to fix it. Have someone who can keep your website and your clients' websites up and running.

  1. Fill the Gaps

Simply find the gaps in your company and fill them. If you feel that your company is lacking in a certain area, find a way to fill it in order to surpass competitors.

Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and the same goes for your team. Hiring top notch employees can be a long, tedious, and expensive journey. Have patience and someday you will have built your Marketing “A” Team!
