prominent post-its, news, current eventsWhat’s better than an Indian Summer? Friday – that’s what! We hope you all have a wonderful weekend, but first let’s catch up on this week’s happenings in our Prominent Post-its!

Twitter’s Announcement

Twitter has made a lot of changes recently, including how you show your “love.” Instead of favoriting tweets now, you get to “like” with a new heart button. People have mixed reactions about this change; some worry about the transition for users, or if it’s diluting the special product that Twitter provides. At the end of the day, as long as the outlet exists to follow along with #bachelornation, I’m not going to complain.

Nick Lachey and Mary Jane Sittin’ In a Tree

The previous 98 Degrees star wants the state of Ohio to show its support for green endeavors – or to be more specific, to legalize weed. He owns a 29-acre weed farm in Ohio, so he was hoping to become the next Walter White… or something like that. Unfortunately for the aspiring kingpin, Ohio chose not to legalize marijuana, so Lachey will need to find another outlet for his crop. As his popular 98 Degrees song once said, just be true to your heart.

Email Overload

Do you ever wish your phone could automatically reply to your emails? Most of us are riddled with far too many messages in our inboxes. Luckily, it’s Google to the rescue. It just unveiled new technology that’s able to provide a range of online services – including the ability to rapidly respond to someone while you’re on the go. The sophisticated system generates smart replies by analyzing previous email conversations. Soon, you’ll have more time for all of your more important tasks – like beating that level in Candy Crush!

Romance on the Voice

Country star Blake Shelton and Pop Star Gwen Stefani have been denying romance rumors. However, this week they finally admitted to their blossoming love. Both of the stars recently went through divorces, and now that they’re an item, things are looking up. No Doubt about the light in their eyes from newfound love!
