Hello and happy summer to all you social media and marketing followers out there. My name is Lauren Perry and I am just beginning my internship here at Responsive Inbound Marketing. Originally I am from Upstate New York, however, I am currently pursuing a B.F.A. degree in Graphic Design along with a Business Management and Entrepreneurship minor at Savannah College of Art and Design.Between living in my small hometown in the suburbs of Syracuse, NY, and the southern charm of Savannah, Georgia, I had my fingers crossed in the hopes of finding an opportunity to work in a big city. I’ve always admired the hustle and bustle of city life and being immersed in such a wide range of culture and style. The diversity of personalities and opinions within a city such as Boston always seems to make life ten times more exciting and offers endless creative inspiration.
Since I grew up in a place whose winter season lasted from about October until April, I have learned to never take the sun for granted. I love being outdoors, whether it's hiking, fishing, snowboarding, playing soccer, going to the beach, etc., I always find an excuse to find some fresh air each day. I am an avid fan of the Rolling Stones and Coldplay, and have baked/assembled just about every ice cream sandwich concoction one could ever dream of; in short: I have a weakness for baking (and Ben and Jerry’s).
As both an artist and consumer, I appreciate the importance of a company’s brand and the role that creative advertising has in optimizing success. I love having the opportunity to hear the stories of others and express them through artwork. Everyone has a past and a future, so the ability to shape our experiences into who we are today, especially through creative means, has proved to be vitally important in the field of communication and design. Everybody is trying to be somebody – the beauty of it lies in how you choose to express it.
